Big Daisy
This 8-foot-tall artwork invites viewers to tap into childhood wonder and play. Big Daisy blends the whimsical imagery of cartoons with an industrial flower design. The work creates a sense of infantilization for the viewer through the use of convex mirrors, invoking a playful, childlike state of mind. Additionally, the piece subtly touches on the themes of surveillance and the naivety of childhood innocence, inviting viewers to reflect on their own perceptions of the world around them.
Big Daisy was exhibited in Elora Ontario from May to October of 2022.
